Police Advisory committee have recommended 10000m world record long distance runner Joshua Cheptegei to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).
This was revealed by Police Spokesperson CP Fred Enanga while addressing the media on the state of security in the country on Monday as stated on Police social media handle.

Cheptegei who has been at the rank of Inspector of Police (IP) will be promoted by the president of the Republic of Uganda after accepting the promotion.
‘’Notably, the Police Advisory Committee has recommended IP Cheptegei Joshua who broke four (4) World Records in long distance running competitions, for promotion to his next rank of ASP.’’ Statements reads
