Mukono Municipality MP Betty Nambooze has claimed that Robinah Nabbanja’s current Office of the Prime Minister is an accident.
President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni appointed Nabbanja, the Kakumiro District Woman MP, Prime Minister in a shocking June 08 night cabinet announcement.
Now, according to Nambooze, the current OPM is an accident, reeking of confusion just like it is the case, according to her, with Parliament.
She also says that Museveni had succeeded in having a weak Prime Minister and Parliament to perpetuate his overstay in power.
“When I look at the Prime Minister’s office, I see a total accident. In Parliament today, who is in charge? Is it Deputy Speaker or Speaker Oulanyah?” wondered the National Unity Platform (NUP) MP during July 20 NBS TV Barometer show.
“President Museveni aim in appointments is to maintain himself in power.”
She further claimed that Museveni was always interested in having weaklings in powerful positions, only for him to hire others to do the same work on the sidelines.
“President Museveni appoints people to reward them and then he appoints the actual people to work too,” the legislator alleged.
“We no longer have professional diplomats. We have political failures in our embassies.”
