Pastor Franklin Mondo Mugisha has finally accepted the son he sired with now deceased baby mama Sarah Nakuya.
The Empowerment Christian Prayer Center Ministries International pastor had previously rejected the boy child saying he was not the father.
Pastor Mondo Mugisha had demanded that a DNA test be conducted to ascertain paternity, but later withdrew from the move.
Months before she died, Nakuya had accused Pastor Mondo Mugisha of child neglect. She claimed that the controversial pastor had refused to pay school fees for their son.
With his name in local media over child neglect, Mondo Mugisha claimed some pastors who hate him were facilitating Nakuya to tarnish his ‘good image.’
He also defended his failure to look after the child he had once denied, to the effects of the Covid19 pandemic which badly battered the economy, making it difficult for him and many others to make ends meet.
The pastor particularly blamed his financial woes on the closure of churches.
Later, Mondo Mugisha paid Shs280,0000 as school fees for his ‘son.’ This left Nakuya wondering why the pastor had finally accepted to pay fees for a child he had all along been denying.
Unfortunately for Mondo and his son, Nakuya died and was laid to rest last week.
Pastor Mondo Mugisha did not attend the burial of his late baby mama. The Muslim sheikhs (Nakuya was from a Muslim family) who spoke at the burial spat fire, criticizing men, including pastors, who neglect their children and their mothers. The clerics called on men and fathers to remember that they have a responsibility to look after their children and their mothers.
Days after the burial Pastor Mondo has welcomed his son home, leaving his followers praising him for accepting to be a responsible father. Mondo Mugisha is expected to look after the boy alongside his other children.
It should be remembered that Pastor Mondo Mugisha sent condolence money worth Shs170,0000, which some said was to little. (Read Story Here).
