NZE SITYA LOSS! Fearless Eddy Kenzo Risks Being Arrested & Thrown in Prison for Performing at Bukedde Event Despite Court Order Banning His Performances

Ugandan singer, BET award winner and Grammy nominee Edrisa Musuuza aka Eddy Kenzo is living the real meaning of his ‘Sitya Loss’ song after defying a court order banning him from performing anywhere in Uganda until a court case filed against him by a music events promoter and organizer has been disposed of.

Last weekend, Eddy Kenzo held a successful concert dubbed ‘Eddy Kenzo Festival’ at the Kololo Independence Grounds in Kampala. Thousands of music lovers attended the festival, making the ‘Semyekozo’ singer smile to the bank for hundreds of millions of Shillings in profit.

But Luba Events, a company that specializes in organizing shows such as Kenzo’s, had prior to the show dragged Edrisa Musuuza to court over breach of contract after the sought-after singer denied the events promoter a chance to organize the show as the two parties had agreed before the 2020 Covid19 pandemic set in and led to the cancellation of shows that had been planned.

It is said that Luba Events and Eddy Kenzo had agreed that after the lifting of the Covid19 lockdown, they would hold a concert from which the former was expected to recover the money he had injected in the planning of a 2020 show that never happened because of Covid19.

But Luba Events and its owners were shocked to learn that Eddy Kenzo had hired another company to organize his festival at Kololo. Luba Events ran to court and secured an order in which the judge banned Eddy Kenzo from performing anywhere in Uganda. (See Details Here).

Yet in an act of defiance, Eddy Kenzo ignored the High Court order and performed at the Bukedde FM Embuutu y’Embuutukizi. It now remains to be seen if Luba Events will now petition court to rein in Kenzo or likely arrest him for defying a court order and for contempt of court.

It should be remembered that a day after Eddy Kenzo’s Kololo Festival, he came out and cried, saying that some people wanted to kill him. (See Details Here).

Away from shedding tears and his saga with Luba Events, Eddy Kenzo won big this week after scooping a nomination for a Grammy Award. (Read Details and see Full 2023 Grammy Awards Nominees’ List HERE).
