Kampala deputy Lord Mayor Doreen Nyanjura has claimed she and other FDC party leaders knew former party Central Region vice president Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo worked for President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni.
On June 08, Museveni named Ssebugwawo his junior (state) minister for ICT and national guidance, replacing Peter Ogwang who was sent to the Vice President’s office.
Accoeding to Nyanjura, FDC leaders who work for Museveni but pretend to be in opposition are well known.
“Often times we know those that are not firm in the Party, those that meet M7 at night but be opposition during the day!” she noted.
“Unfortunately when the truth finally comes out, it’s too late, no one believes us when we tell them that we knew so and so was in talks with the Junta.”
The Makerere Councillor also said she was not shocked when Museveni named Ssebugwawo his minister since she expected more FDC leaders on the cabinet list.
“Personally, I was not shocked by Owekitibwa [Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo] being on the list,” she noted.
“I was only shocked that it’s only her that was on the list and others were left out, we are still with them in the Party, they make decisions on behalf of the Party!”
