Mukono Municipality of the National Unity Platform (NUP), Betty Nambooze Bakireke, is counting her blessings and praising her God after she narrowly survived death following a fall off stairs.
It is not clear where Nambooze fell but the vocal NUP MP has revealed that she fell off a number of steps. The legislator, who is currently hospitalized at Bugolobi Medical Centre, also says that she lost a lot of blood.
But thankfully, Nambooze’s skull was not broken as is the case with most falls in bathrooms and off stairs. She has informed her testimony with her followers and supporters, telling them how grateful she is to God that she did not die from the fall but has lived to tell them her story.
“I wish to thank Lord Almighty for my life… I almost ended the other day… Many of my colleagues and other people whom I know lost their lives due to a domestic accident and Nambooze has walked through it at least for now. The story has always been… This so and so is unconscious after falling in his/her bathroom or stairs where he was found unconscious. That is the story that was told against me,” narrated Nambooze.
“My doctor has today told me to go and thank my Lord for falling a dozen steps, lost all that blood… and the CT- scan telling the medics that your ka- skull is intact! Well, I have a lot of pain but at least there is no internal bleeding or completely broken bone… that you remained conscious all through this is a miracle! Thank you, Lord, for blessing me with this day in my life. It’s not always easy, and I know there are many problems, but everything you do is for a reason.”
She continued: “Let me find the best in them so I can live up to your expectations. Thank you for everything in my life. Thank you, Lord, for everything. True I have hard hit body, seven stiches in the face, swollen chest and swollen arms but still I’m in one piece.”
This is not the first time Nambooze is narrowly surviving death. Months ago, panga-wielding assassins broke into her bedroom and almost killed her. (Read Story Here).
