Officers from the Flying Squad of the Uganda Police Force (UPF) have arrested a man who had reportedly stolen money from a Movit Products Ltd director.
The Movit boss had lost his $90,000 (about Sh300m) to the suspected thief.
According to UPF Political Commissar Asan Kasingye, the suspected was arrested on the evening of January 2022.
He is from Ibanda District.
But he had hired a hotel room in Mbarara City where he hid the money.
Police have recovered $27,700 and Shs97.84m from the hotel room.
