First son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has spoken out on his appointment as national army UPDF Commander Land Forces, thanking his father, ‘inspiration and guide’ President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni.
Recently, Museveni made changes in the UPDF command, appointing his son commander Land Forces.

The appointment reignited the debate on ‘Muhoozi Project.’
Now, for the first time since the appointment, the first son has thanked his father for being great, his guide and an inspiration.
“I want to thank the many thousands of people who sent me congratulatory messages on the new appointment,” said Kainerugaba.
“I want to thank our great leader His Excellency Museveni who will always be our inspiration and guide. Long live the mighty UPDF! Long live Uganda! God bless Uganda!”
