Junior Information, Communications Technology (ICT) and National Guidance minister designate Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo has issued a statement on her appointment to Museveni’s cabinet as a minister.
The appointment of Ssebugwawo has left her FDC party, for which she was vice president for Central Uganda – and at some point acting president, as shocked as they were disturbed.
Now, in a short statement, Ssebugwawo said she was surprised by that attention sparked by her appointment but noted she was keen on helping light the darkness – that is apparently in the NRM.
“We are not here to curse the darkness, but to light the candle that can guide us through that darkness to a safe and sane future,” wrote Ssebugwawo.
“Dear friends in the rush of recent events my name is making rounds on all social media platforms and while am encouraged by the attention I didn’t know I have, I have no power over what I have not produced here just like I haven’t seen anybody who drinks medicine on behalf of his best friend.”
She promised to come up with a comprehensive statement soon.
“Kindly treat all that is said and done with the attention it deserve. At an appropriate moment I will officially brief every one on what is going on. For God and My country.”
