Members of Parliament are expected to convene for a special sitting to pay tribute to Prof Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile, the Governor of the central Bank of Uganda (BoU).

Now, Parliament will hold a special session today to honor the longest serving BoU governor.
“This is to inform you that Parliament has scheduled a Special Sitting to pay tribute to the late Prof. Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile on Thursday 27 January, 2022 at 10.00a.m,” clerk to Parliament Adolf Kasaija Mwesige wrote to MPs on January 26, 2022.
The body was expected at Parliament today at 9am while public viewing was expected to last two hours.
But we have since learnt that the body of the fallen BoU governor will not be brought to Parliament.
