President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni has transferred Kampala RCC Hudu Hussein from the capital city to Yumbe District in a new reshuffle of Resident District Commissioners (RDCs), Resident City Commissioners (RCCs) and their deputies, as well as Commissioners of the RDC Secretariat.
Museveni has sent Hudu Hussein to Yumbe District.
Hudu Hussein was unpopular with vendors and KCCA political leaders such as Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago.
He was recently quoted as saying he would throw preachers off Kampala streets. But he later denied ever making the statement.
“My President is a very religious and God-fearing man, and he is my inspiration. I cannot do something that he himself cannot do,” Hudu Hussein was later quoted as saying.
“I emphasize that I cannot and did not say anything about chasing street preachers. I referred to street children, among other issues.”
Amina Lukanga will replace Hudu.
