New York city-based Wall Street Journal (WSJ) has alleged that a Chinese Covid19 vaccine was administered to members of Uganda’s President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s inner circle.
In a report titled ‘Chinese Covid Vaccine Secretly Given to VIPs,’ published recently, WSJ claimed Museveni was one of the leaders that had secretly acquired the Chinese vaccine before essential workers, such as healthcare professionals could be immunized.
Other leaders listed included Rodrigo Duterte of The Philippines.
“In The Philippines, President Rodrigo Duterte’s security detail got Covid19 vaccines last year before their use was authorized,” claimed WSJ in a report filed by Ryan Dube.
“In Uganda, members of President Yoweri Museveni’s inner circle were offered the vaccines.”
WSJ further claims that the vaccine used in Uganda was from Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinopharm.
