President Yoweri Museveni has said he is happy with many members of Uganda’s opposition, further revealing that he closely monitors them.
In his October 28 address on Covid19 response and security, President Museveni said that while there was a group of opposition members who were parasites and targeting money from foreigners such as homosexuality backers, there were many politicians on the opposing side who had embraced his message.
Museveni said he was glad that many members of the opposition had rejected the gospel from parasites.
“I am very happy with many actors in the opposition that are rejecting the messages of the parasites,” he said.
“I know what happens in the opposition. I know who says what.”
The president further explained that the opposition should emulate him because even when he didn’t belong to Apollo Milton Obote’s Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) party, he worked with him to develop his home area.
