Museveni: ‘Evil Daily Monitor crooks must apologize in Front Page Big Letters or give me money to build Movement House’

President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni has once again termed The Daily Monitor newspaper ‘evil’ and its staff ‘crooks,’ insisting they must apologize in front page big letters or pay him money in damages to build his NRM’s Movement House.

This is not the first time Museveni is castigating Daily Monitor over a story on allegations that he, his wife Janet and inner circle secretly took a Covid19 Chinese vaccine jabs.

During his March 14 night address, Museveni emphasized the news publication must either apologize to him and his wife in big front page letters or prepare to pay him billions in damages.

Museveni took a swipe at the media for causing ‘part of the problem’ in the management of Covid19 and politics.

“There is an evil paper called Monitor. Monitor must apologize: front page, big letters; the whole page must be covered by the apology,” demanded Museveni.

“I have already told my lawyers; get money from those crooks to build Movement House. I don’t know why Aga Khan [Nation Media Group founder] likes those crooks.”

The president added that “the media need to discipline themselves.”
