President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s daughter Patience Rwabwogo has revealed that she started hearing God’s voice at an early age. And since that encounter, she has never looked back.
Now, the lead pastor at Covenant Nations Church, Patience recently launched her book titled ‘Jesus’ Africa.’
The president daughter has revealed that she began listening to God’s voice as a young girl.
So, how was God’s voice like when she first heard It at about 11 years.
“I started hearing from God when I was young. I think when I was around 11. That was the first time I heard, distinctly, a voice which is not my voice and not somebody else’s voice,” she said in an interview with a local TV.
“[It was] not an audible voice, but a voice that is very clear that you can hear. So, it’s like a conversation, like how we are having a conversation. You become more adept at recognizing the voice because you continue with the conversation.”
Her conversations with God would become better as she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior, and began delving deep into scriptures.
“When I gave my life to God, I would spend a lot of time reading the Bible and then the voice you hear is similar to the voice in the Bible. It’s not different: it’s the same voice. It grew stronger, I think, because of knowledge of God and prayer,” she explained.
“It’s a relationship really. It’s like how do you get to know someone? You get to know them by being in a relationship. You get to know what makes them happy, what makes them sad. Even with God, you get to know Him by the daily walk. So, hearing His voice, I used to think that everyone.”
But she later realized that everybody does not talk to God the same way she does. Patience believes that hearing from God is open to every believer for His sheep hear His voice and not that of strangers but it should be a lifetime of relationship.
It should be remembered that President Museveni recently declared that his daughter Patience, who is married to influential and powerful presidential advisor Odrek Rwabwogo, is the ‘priest’ of the First Family. (Read Stories Here and There).
