Museveni ‘Boy’ Prof Baryamureeba Blasts Bobi Wine’s EU Friends, Warns them against Plans to Turn Uganda into another Libya

Former presidential candidate Prof Venansius Baryamureeba has castigated supporters and friends of NUP leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi in the European Union (EU) Parliament for pushing for change in Uganda.

A former Makerere University vice chancellor, Prof Baryamureeba returned to President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s ruling NRM camp after performing poorly in the 2016 presidential poll.

The computer science professor now says he is shocked that some EU Parliament legislators just push for change in Uganda for the sake of it.

He has now warned that these could turn Uganda into another failed state on the African continent if they blindly support change.

Baryamureeba also made it clear to the EU law makers that Uganda was not a banana republic.

“In a banana republic anybody can be president but Uganda is not a banana republic. We don’t want to become Libya, Iraq or Sudan,” said Baryamureeba.

“What pisses me off is when someone sits in European Parliament and has no family or stake in Uganda and just announces its time for change. What change?”

This week, Bobi Wine asked his allies in the EU to support him in removing Museveni from power. (Read Story Here).
