President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni has rewarded his most loyal and devoted mobilisers from his Office of NRM National Chairman (ONC) as he unveiled his new cabinet June 08 night.
Museveni named ONC senior administrator, presidential advisor and personal political assistant Miriam (Milly) Dhoka Babalanda the minister of presidency.
Babalanda will replace Esther Mbayo.
The president also chose Misa Kabanda, the ONC coordinator for Kampala, to become the Minister for Kampala and Metropolitan Affairs.
Kabanda will replace Betty Among, who will now be minister of gender, labour and social development.
The ONC office, steered by Babalanda and articulate media relations boss Faruk Kirunda, traversed the whole country canvassing votes for NRM presidential candidate and other flag bearers.
After delivering victory for NRM despite Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine’s NUP’s emergence on the political scene, Museveni has rewarded the men and women at ONC.
One of the first ONC officials to be rewarded was Kirunda, who is now Presidential Press Secretary.
