Now, reports say the former legislator has been found.
Munyagwa did not sustain any injuries but was nursing chest pain in hospital.
It remains unclear who had arrested the politician, why he had been nabbed and where he had been held.
On February 21, police spokesperson Fred Enanga said the force had read bout Munyagwa’s kidnap online.
“We have not got any direct complaint or report about the allegedly abduction but we have only heard and seen about it on social media. The circumstances are not clear and we only saw reports indicating he was intercepted by a drone on his way for a talk show on NBS TV,” said Enanga.
“None of Crime Intelligence or CID directorates has confirmed having arrested him. This means investigations into the said abduction are ongoing.”
Munyagwa is expected to tell his story once he recovers from chest pain.
