Events promoter Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi, a sworn supporter of first son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba and his rumored presidential project, has threatened to mobilise Ugandans to protest over a decision by President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s son to retire from the army.
As we reported on March 08, Lt Gen Kainerugaba, also the Commander Land Forces (CLF), announced he was retiring from the army. (Read Story Here).
Government chief whip Thomas Tayebwa quickly hinted on a new journey for Kainerugaba. (Read Story Here).
But the first son quickly clarified on his retirement statement, revealing the year he will quit the UPDF. (Read Story Here).
Earlier, Balaam had welcomed Kainerugaba’s move to retire early, and hinted on the first son’s “unstoppable” journey to the “palace.”
“Mission Unstoppable We are glad to begin this Smoth Journey to White Palace together . Glory be to Uganda and Our Great Leaders,” wrote the events promoter.
But he later said he would rally other people to protest the exit of the first son from the army.
“On a second thought we shouldn’t celebrate early retirement of one of our youngest and most trained officers Muhoozi Kainerugaba,” wrote Balaam.
“As peace Loving Ugandans we shall seek permission from IGP to permit us hold demonstrations in all Major cities to force MK back to UPDF. Finish the tasks.”
