MORE SHOCKING REVELATIONS: Uganda Airlines CEO Bamuturaki Doesn’t Have Required Academic Papers — But Museveni Appointed Her, Anyway

More shocking revelations are emerging out of Parliament as members of the Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities, and State Enterprises (Cosase) and officials of the national carrier, the Uganda Airlines.

Led by their Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jennifer Bamuturaki, the officials from Uganda Airlines were interfacing with Cosase members led by their chairperson Joel Ssenyonyi, the Nakawa West MP and spokesperson of the National Unity Platform (NUP), Uganda’s main opposition party.

Cosase MPs were shocked to learn that CEO Bamuturaki did not have the requisite academic qualifications to be appointed the top boss of the national carrier.

Bamuturaki told the committee that by the time she was appointed CEO, she had a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work and Social Administration (Swasa).

She had not attained any post graduate training qualifications by the time she was appointed, meaning that she fell short of the minimum academic requirements.

Ssenyonyi’s Committee also learnt that CEO Bamuturaki was now pursuing a post graduate-diploma in Public Administration at Makerere University, Uganda’s oldest and largest higher learning institution.

The issue of CEO Bamuturaki’s academic papers is not the only shocking revelation from the Cosase meetings.

On Tuesday, CEO Bamuturaki left MPs in shock when she revealed that she had not applied for the top Uganda Airlines job but President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni had appointed him. (Read Story Here).

Parliament was shocked to learn that this same Bamuturaki earns Shs87m every month as her colleagues also swim in tens of millions monthly. (See Juicy Salaries of Uganda Airlines top bosses Here).
