About a week after a semblance of relative peace returned to the Greater Masaka Area, two bodies of boda boda riders have been discovered in Masaka City.
The bodies had been dumped in a bush in Kyabumba village.
Locals had gone to fetch firewood when they found the bodies.
A hammer suspected to have been used in committing the murders was found abandoned near the bodies.
Residents identified one of the bodies as being that of commercial motorcyclist (bodaboda rider) Huzaifah Mawanda.
Mawanda had gone missing for over 10 days.
The identity of the other murdered bodaboda rider was not readily established.
At least 30 people have been killed in the recent spate of murders in Greater Masaka Area.
The wave of killings seemed to had been dealt a blow until the two bodies were found.
