President Yoweri Museveni has named Justice Lydia Mugambe Ssali Uganda’s Inspector General of Government (IGG)
Mugambe replaces Irene Mulyagonja at the Inspectorate of Government, an independent institution charged with the responsibility of eliminating corruption, abuse of authority and of public office.
Museveni appointed Mulyagonja, a judge on the Court of Appeal bench.

– arrest or cause arrest,
– prosecute or cause prosecution,
– make orders and give directions during investigations;
