Deputy Kampala Capital City Lord Mayor Doreen Nyanjura says the health condition of her boss Erias Lukwago is improving after top Kenyan and Ugandan doctors worked together to treat the city head.
According to Nyanjura, Lukwago has “registered tremendous improvement following an intensive and comprehensive medical management,” thanks to “a collaboration of efforts between Aga Khan Hospital and Nairobi hospital where he is currently admitted.”
Ugandan consultant physician and Gastroenterologist Professor Godfrey Lule and consultant Physician and chest expert Professor Muhindi Wanjugu are leading the team of experts working on the city boss.
Lukwago, who is seeking reelection as Lord Mayor, is expected to return home in the coming weeks.
“We continue to extend our thanks to the team in Nairobi, the people of Kampala and Uganda in general for your efforts, sympathies and prayers as we hope for and look forward to the Lord Mayor’s quick recovery and return to Kampala,” said Nyanjura.
