Kampala City Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago is said to be responding to treatment at Nairobi Hospital.
Lukwago was rushed to Kenya after his condition persisted despite seeking medical attention from doctors in Kampala.
According to outgoing Kasese Woman MP Winnie Kiiza, Lukwago is responding to medication administered by doctors at the Nairobi Hospital.
Kiiza visited Lukwago in hospital on Sunday evening.
“While he is still experiencing acute chest pain and abdominal pain, we thank God that he is responding to the medications given,” said Kiiza.
“Both the doctors and Nalongo are doing a great job. A quick recovery, Salongo!”
