MP David Kabanda, a staunch supporter of President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni and his ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party, has today confessed his love for Doreen Nyanjura, a well-known youthful political ally of main opposition leader Dr Kizza Besigye.
While Kabanda belongs to the NRM, Nyanjura who is also the Kampala Capital City Deputy Lord Mayor, is a member of opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC). The FDC and NRM are considered fierce political rivals and so are their most prominent leaders, Col (Rtd) Dr Besigye and Gen Museveni, respectively.
It was therefore surprising that Kabanda, whose support of NRM, Museveni and his son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, might be very irritating to Nyanjura, a deputy to Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, the Vice President of the FDC for Central Uganda, and Dr Besigye’s deputy at People’s Government, and the People’s Front for Transition (PFT Red Card Front).
Kabanda boldly declared his love for Nyanjura, leaving many Ugandans surprised and wondering where he had got the boldness to pick interest in a no-nonsense iron lady of Nyanjura’s stature. The Kashambya County MP was even hopeful that his confession would be the start of ‘everything.’
“I love her and it is the beginning of everything,” wrote Kabanda.
But if Kabanda’s was a proposal to the lady from Tooro, then it was clearly rejected. Nyanjura, who is also a member of the FDC National Executive Committee (NEC), suggested that Kabanda was a wrong person.
“I had missed this, have been busy with the struggle. Is this what they call when the wrong one loves you?” wondered Nyanjura.
This love confession and story comes days after Speaker of Parliament Anita Annet Among and Fufa president Moses Magogo legalized their bonking sessions. (Read Story Here).
