Lokech Death: IGP Ochola Orders Police Doctor to Investigate What Suddenly Killed His Deputy

Police chief Inspector General of Police (IGP) Martins Okoth Ochola has spoken out on the sudden death of his deputy Maj Gen Paul Lokech.

The UPDF confirmed the death of Lokech on August 21.

According to Uganda Police Force, the deputy IGP “passed on from his home this morning.”

The IGP with deep sorrow regrets to announce the sudden demise of the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Major General Paul Lokech. He passed on from his home this morning.
A detailed statement on the cause of death and burial arrangements will be availed in due course.

Now, IGP Ochola has ordered Police director of medical services Dr Moses Byaruhanga to probe what killed Maj Gen Lokech.

A postmortem report is expected soon.

“I have tasked the Director of Medical Services, Dr. Moses Byaruhanga to carry out postmortem to establish the cause of death.”
