It is not easy for politicians to survive once they are out of office. Most of those who lost in the 2021 parliamentary elections have been trying to move on, albeit with difficult.
One of those who suffered defeat in the elections held in January was former Lubaga South MP Kato Lubwama.
A singer and comedian, Kato Lubwama lost to Aloysius Mukasa as Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine’s NUP wave swept across Buganda.
Lubwama accepted defeat and chose to move on. But months later, court ruled in favour of his 2016 opponent Habib Buwembo of the FDC, and the youthful opposition activist is demanding billions in damages and costs.
The former MP has been loitering between TV stations for interviews that offer audiences the much-needed comedy in these Covid19 times.
But deep inside, Lubwama seems to have been struggling with a lot of problems.
So, as churches reopened, Kato Lubwama carried all his problems to House of Prayer Ministries International (HPMI) where Pastor Aloysius Bujjingo prayed for him and anointed him.
It should be remembered that Lubwama previously revealed he would visit Bujjingo, whom he called a good friend of his, to ask for some assistance.
When he visited HPMI, Kato Lubwama didn’t only get prayers and anointing oil but a brown envelope full of money.
