Katikkiro Mayiga Responds to CJ Owiny-Dollo: Kabaka Wasn’t Rushed Abroad in Museveni’s Private Jet

Buganda Kingdom Prime Minister Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga has spoken out on allegations made by Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo that Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi was flown to Germany for treatment using a presidential jet.

CJ Owiny-Dollo made the claims during a vigil at the home of late speaker Jacob Oulanyah in Muyenga. (Read Story Here).

But NUP leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, a Muganda by tribe, told Owiny-Dollo to stop diverting Ugandans from asking the real cause of Oulanyah’s death. (Read Story Here).

Some people even called on the chief justice to apologize to Baganda but he has so far refused. (Read Story Here).

After days of debate on ‘Baganda Vs Acholi comments,’ Katikkiro Mayiga has come out to tell Owiny-Dollo that the Kabaka didn’t fly in a presidential jet as the chief justice had alleged.

“Just for the record, however, when the Kabaka flew to Germany in August 2021, he did not fly by the Presidential jet, but by KLM Airlines,” said Mayiga in a statement.

Last year, the Kabaka flew to Germany for treatment after months of sickness. (Read Story Here).
