Katikkiro Mayiga expected to answer questions on Kabaka’s sickness, calls for him to resign in TV interview

Buganda Kingdom prime minister Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga is expected to tackle issues of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi’s health condition and calls for him to resign in his first TV interview since the king appeared frail and sick, leaving his subjects worried.

On April 13, the Kabaka attended his birthday celebration appearing weak.

For months now, Katikkiro Mayiga had been assuring the Kabaka’s subjects the king was okay.

With the Kabaka’s health condition worrying some Buganda loyalists, some have severally called on the premier to address the kingdom on measures taken to save the monarch’s life.

Others have also called on him to resign.

The Katikkiro is expected to answer these questions when he appears for a morning show on House of Prayer Ministries lead pastor Aloysius Bujjingo’s Salt TV.

The station says Mayiga will be their guest from 8am on Friday, April 16.
