The Catholic Archdiocese of Kampala has released a tentative program for the burial of Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga, indicating it would consider changing the burial ground if a will emerged indicating otherwise.
Archbishop Lwanga was found dead in his house in Lubaga on Saturday, April 03.
A day earlier he had joined fellow clerics like Archbishop Steven Kazimba of the Anglican Church of Uganda in celebrating the way of the cross.
According to Kampala Archdiocese, Lwanga will be laid to rest at Metropolitan Burial Grounds besides Rubaga Cathedral on Thursday, April 08, 2021.
But the Archdiocese said it was open to change of burial ground if a will emerged indicating the dead archbishop’s choice to be buried elsewhere.
A 10am requiem mass at Lubaga Cathedral will precede the burial.
