Sick Buganda Kingdom monarch kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi and wife Nnabagereka Sylvia Nagginda have taken the Covid19 Astrazeneca vaccine jabs.
A sick-looking Kabaka appeared in public for his 66th birthday celebration on April 13, raising concerns about his health.
He would later be spotted shopping at Ntinda’s Capital Shoppers on April 15.
And today, the Kabaka got vaccinated against Covid19 at his palace in Kireka.
His wife Nagginda also took the jab.
At least 200,000 Ugandans have taken the Covid19 Astrazeneca vaccine jabs since the health ministry started the vaccination drive on March 10.
The Buganda Kabaka, Queen and Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga are some of the kingdom officials who have so far been vaccinated.
In the central government, President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni, his wife first lady Janet Museveni, and first son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba have taken the jabs.
