Kabaka suffering from allergies: Katikkiro Mayiga explains king’s health condition

Buganda Kingdom prime minister Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga has explained that Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi is suffering from allergies.

In a 2pm address on April 16, Katikkiro Mayiga sought to dispel rumors on the disease the Kabaka was suffering from.

The Kabaka had appeared sick during his 66th birthday celebration on April 13.

Now, Mayiga has assured the king’s subjects the Kabaka is suffering from allergies.

Acknowledging that the king’s “disposition was different from the one his subjects were used to,” Mayiga assured Buganda the Kabaka’s condition was being “effectively managed by an appropriate team of experts with the requisite expertise.”

“The challenges are related to allergies especially when the Kabaka has a face mask or shield on,” explained the Katikkiro.

The allergies sometimes make breathing difficult for the Kabaka, added Mayiga
