Kabaka reportedly flown to Germany for allergies treatment

Buganda Kingdom monarch Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi has reportedly flown to Germany for specialized treatment.

The Kabaka has for months been sick, although his condition has improved tremendously since he appeared frail on his birthday party in April 2021.

Then, earlier reports had claimed he was battling throat cancer.

But Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga later said the Kabaka suffered from allergies.

The Buganda king has since appeared in public in better shape.

His latest public appearances include the one at his coronation anniversary at Nkoni Village palace in Lwengo District, and at a meeting with President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni at State House last week.

During the latter meeting, the Kabaka is said to have informed President Museveni he planned to fly abroad for specialized treatment.

Now local media reports suggest the Kabaka could have flown to Germany.

But Mengo is yet to speak on these reports.
