Kabaka health condition: Royal Family finally breaks silence on Buganda King sickness

Buganda Kingdom royal family members have issued a “statement” on the health condition of Buganda King Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi after he appeared in public looking sick.

Allegedly attributed to Omumbejja Nalinya Nassolo, Nnaalinya Sarah Kagere, Nnaalinya Dina Kigga and Nnaalinya Agnes Nabaloga, the statement confirms the Kabaka is sick.

“Following Ssabasajja Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II’s public appearance on 13 April 2021 to mark his 66th birthday, social media has been awash with speculation regarding his health and wellbeing. Ssabasajja has been unwell for a while,” read the statement in part.

The royals expressed optimism the kabaka was on his way to recovery.

“However, he has responded well to the prescribed medication and his medical team is positive about his prognosis,” the royals continued.

“The Royal Family would like to express their gratitude to the public for their good wishes as well as for their concern towards Ssabasajja Kabaka.”

But the royals were silent on the disease the kabaka is suffering from.
