Kabaka Fires Three Ministers (See Details)

Buganda Kingdom monarch Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II has fired three of his cabinet ministers in a mini reshuffle on August 01, 2023.

In the reshuffle, ministers Henry Moses Ssekabembe Kiberu was dropped as Minister in charge of Youth Affairs while Prosperous Nankindu Kavuma lost her job as minister in charge of health and education in Buganda Kingdom.

Also dropped from cabinet was David Kyewalabye Male, who has been in charge of Culture, Tourism and Palaces, from his Cabinet.

Robert Sserwanga will take over from Ssekabembe, Anthony Wamala  — the Principal Buganda Royal Institute — replaces Nankindu, while Cotilda Kikomeko replaces Kiwalabye Male.

It should be remembered that Nankindu was hired by Museveni, alongside a team of other experts, to determine what Ugandan children will be taught. (See Details Here).

Meanwhile, the Kabaka has transferred Noah Kiyimba from the position of Information Minister and Kingdom Spokesperson to that of Minister for Cabinets and Lukiiko Affairs.

Israel Kazibwe is the new Kingdom Spokesperson.

The Kabaka fired the three ministers after his 30th coronation anniversary celebration during which he confessed that he and his kingdom were powerless and that they had many enemies, but promised to do something to help his subjects, telling him “this is just the beginning.” (Read story Here).
