JUST IN: Panic as Ex-Museveni Minister ‘Disappears’ in Nairobi

A Ugandan Member of Parliament and former Minister in President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s National Resistance Movement (NRM) government has disappeared in the Kenyan capital Nairobi. 

Kenyan police said Bukigai County MP David Wakikona Wandendeya had last been seen boarding an Uber taxi Registration Number KCS 466G at 6:26am.

The driver of this vehicle has been identified as Robert Wang’ombe.

Wakikona had reportedly requested the guard at Samura Court to help him stop an Uber Taxi, saying he was headed somewhere along Tom Mboya Street in Nairobi.

Since boarding the taxi outside Samura Court in Argwings Kodhek, Nairobi, Wakikona’s colleagues have not heard from him.

These friends included Talibet Kibet and Emmanuel Opio, a clerk at Parliament of Uganda, who have since reported the matter to Kilimani Police Station.

A police statement filed at Kilimani Police Station indicates that Wakikona had checked in at Samura Court along Argwings Kodhek Road on October 03, 2022, together with his colleagues and his whereabouts remain unknown but his whereabouts remained unknown.

Other colleagues who had been in touch with the missing Wakikona include Soi County MP Chemaswet Abdi Fadhil Kisos and his Bokora counterpart John Bosco Ngoya. Wakikona had left these people in Kilimani, Dagoretti North Sub County.

A professional aviator who previously headed the Soroti Flying School, Wakikona previously served as the Minister in charge of Norther Uganda and as a junior minister of trade.

Wakinona was reported missing days after Ugandan first son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba ‘joked’ about his army’s capacity to capture Nairobi in two weeks. His father Museveni has since apologized to President William Ruto. (Read Stories Here and There).
