Days after she made it clear it was premature to talk about school reopening, education minister Janet Museveni has written a letter to parents.
Speaking during the release, on July 16, of the 2020 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), Ms Museveni delivered her ministry’s position on school reopening. (See: School reopening: Janet Museveni Speaks Out).
Now, in her letter, the first lady emphasizes the importance of parents being role models for their children.
Explaining why she now refers to young people as ‘guys,’ the minister also stressed the centrality of parents in the education of their children.
She used a story of the pregnant German shepherd dog and her puppies to tip parents on raising their children in the Covid19 pandemic times with restrictions such as lockdowns.
