Parliament’s director of communication and public affairs Chris Obore has responded to an update by Wikipedia in which speaker Jacob Oulanyah was declared dead.
An update by Wikipedia claimed that Oulanyah died on March 14 in Seattle, US.
Wikipedia is a free online encyclopedia, created and edited by volunteers around the world and hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation.
In response to the update, Obore said hackers had edited the profile of Speaker Oulanyah.
“Some people are hacking into Wikipedia and editing the profile of Speaker Jacob Oulanyah. They log in thru VPN to avoid detection,” noted Obore.
Obore has also confirmed that deputy speaker Anita Among has flown to the US to check on Oulanyah. (Read Story Here).
