While Ugandans are normally allowed to view bodies of deceased senior officials before burial, Among has ruled that MPs will not look at Oulanyah’s body.
During the special sitting, Bukomansimbi North MP Christine Nandagire asked speaker Among to allow MPs view the body of the former speaker.
But Among said she had already viewed the body on behalf of Parliament.
The speaker noted that she had even dressed Oulanyah’s body in parliament attire.
