IT’S GETTING BLOODY! Chaos Erupts at FDC Najjanankumbi Headquarters as Goons Throw Stones & Beat Up Delegates ahead of National Council Meeting

Chaos and violence has broken out at Najjanankumbi, the headquarters of opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party where a much-anticipated National Council meeting is scheduled to happen today, July 28, 2023.

The party Chairman, Wasswa Birigwa, called stakeholders for FDC’s 16th National Council Meeting at the party headquarters in Najjanankumbi.

Top on the Agenda for this meeting was to receive a report from the Elders Committee, which was established to resolve internal disagreements within the party and promote unity.

Expected to attend the meeting were all FDC District Chairpersons, all FDC Members of Parliament, all members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), and three representatives from the Youth League.

Others are: three representatives from the Women’s League, one flag bearer (MP) who was unsuccessful in the previous elections from each sub-region, and all elected Local Government District Chairpersons and Mayors.

But goons raided the party HQ and started pelting stones at the delegates. Some were beaten up.

Police later rushed to the scene and arrested some of the goons who seemed to have come with instructions to disrupt the meeting and ensure that the National Council does not take place.

Meanwhile, FDC President Patrick Oboi Amuriat, who is accused of pocketing billions from President Museveni to fight Bobi Wine and sell FDC to the NRM, has spoken out on resignation calls. (See Details Here and There).
