IT’S A DONE DEAL! Shock as Bobi Wine’s NUP MP Says ‘Muhoozi Presidency’ Unstoppable

A Ugandan MP from Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine’s National Unity Platform (NUP) has left some of the supporters of the main opposition party shocked after he suggested that first son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s presidency could already be a done deal and therefore largely unstoppable.

As Uganda’s long serving president and feared military leader approaches the age of 80, the question of a transition from his rule to a new leader remains unresolved.

Museveni’s son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has hinted on running for president and succeeding his father.

But there remains lack of clarity on when Muhoozi will run, if he and his father will be on the same ballot paper or if father will fully back his son.

Some in the Ugandan opposition have dismissed Gen Muhoozi and his MK Movement.

But Dr Abed Bwanika, one of their own, seems to have a different idea and is not afraid of telling all and sundry that he reads a Museveni to help his son become president.

Besides being the MP for Kimaanya-Kabonera, Bwanika is also a three-time presidential candidate and the first high profile balokole pastor to run for highest office in the land.

Bwanika says that Museveni has successfully convinced members of his (first) family about Muhoozi.

“President Museveni’s transition process to usher in Muhoozi began by convincing family members, his party NRM, and now top political leaders, as seen in Bukedea,” Bwanika was quoted as telling NBS Eagle.

At least four members of Museveni’s First Family are said to be interested in succeeding the elderly President. (See Details Here).

Bwanika, who branded himself Omugalatia (Galatian) in the 2021election, believes that Museveni and his son now have to bring the youth ane top army generals in the UPDF to join the first son.

“What remains is convincing the youth and Generals,” added Bwanika.

The experienced but first time legislator also wonders why some people don’t see why Museveni and his son seem unstoppable.

“President Museveni started the power transition process from him to his son but some people haven’t realised that.”

Bwanika also confessed that he would have had no problem attending Speaker Anita Among’s thanksgiving and other events in Bukedea and Teso if he had not been busy with constituency work.

Apart from using the events to parade her new mansion and give Ugandans ana sneak peek into her properties and wealth, Speaker Anita Among also led over 300 MPs to declare that they believe in Museveni the Father, Museveni the Son and ‘Museveni the Holy Mother’ – and the Muhoozi presidency.
