A birthday message President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni penned for wife (First Lady) Janet Kataaha Museveni is being interpreted by some government critics as a hint that the 76-year-old plans to rule Uganda until he turns 100 years.
First lady Janet turned 73 today.
“Praise the LORD GOD for the life of Maama Janet Museveni and for the many blessings from God in her life. We wish her many more years of health, happiness, and service,” wrote Museveni.
“Looking forward to reaching 100 together.”
While some bazukkulu joked at President Museveni’s poverty in romance, others complained of the lockdown, asked about vulnerable poor Ugandans’ package and the fate of teachers.
Yet others wished Janet well and praised her.
But some more wondered if Museveni plans to rule to Uganda until he is 100 years.
Museveni is currently aged 76.
He has spent 36 of these as president of Uganda.
If he ruled until he turned 100 years, Museveni would be at the helm for 24 more years, ruling for a total of 60 years.
