President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni has vowed to make Daily Monitor bankrupt unless the newspaper apologizes to him over a story alleging that his inner circle secretly got jabs for a Chinese Covid19 vaccine.
The story was first carried by American newspaper Wall Street Journal.
But health minister Dr Jane Ruth Aceng dismissed the reports as false.
Now, in his speech during the International Women’s Day celebration at State House Entebbe, Museveni revealed he was suing Daily Monitor and would make it bankrupt over the story.
“In the meantime, I am going to make some money from Daily Monitor for my party because they lied that I had been vaccinated together with my wife,” said Museveni.
“I am going to make them bankrupt unless they apologize and lie down. They are going to get me money for my party. I have already filed my case.”
