I MIGHT BE THE NEXT TO DIE SOON, CMI OPERATIVES INJECTED US WITH DRUGS: Recently Released Bobi Wine ‘Boy’ Cries Out

A youthful activist of Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine’s People Power pressure group and National Unity Platform (NUP) has made a shocking allegation against the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) following the death of Sulayiman Jakana Nadduli, son to former minister without portfolio Hajji Abdul Nadduli. 

Jakana had been detained by suspected CMI operatives weeks before his death at the start of this week. The former minister’s son has been facing charges of promoting sectarianism against Banyarwanda and Banyankore and he was expected in Luweero Court in November 2022.

But according to Bashir Motiv Kassaga, a young man who recently returned from Luzira Prison after he was granted bail for offensive communication charges arising from his alleged action of fabricating high profile government and security officials’ tweets to make it appear like they were celebrating the death of former security minister Gen Elly Tumwine, there could be more dangerous things than some people know in the CMI cell.

Kassaga claimed that his story of alleged torture at the hands of CMI’s operatives was not any different from Jakana’s. He then made an allegation that the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence was yet to come out to officially respond to: that detainees, particularly him and the late Jakana, were injected with dangerous drugs they were suspicious about.

According to Kassaga, when he asked about the suspicious injections, he was told that they were meant to make him recover. He now fears that he could die soon, claiming that he has not been feeling well since he returned home. He even alleged that there is a black list of people that the CMI operatives might be interested in. But Kassaga offered no proof to back up his allegations of the so-called black list nor did he present medical records to prove that his health condition has worsened since he returned from prison as compared to the time before he was arrested and detained.

“We shared the same torture story, same Museveni captors of Chieftancy of Military Intelligence (CMI), same story of being injected with drugs we didn’t know but we were told it was treatment for our ‘recovery,” narrated Kassaga. “From the time I left CMI custody, my life has never been the same. I’m not the jolly and healthy lad I used to be. I wake up with internal pain though I keep on trying every medication in my possibility to see myself recovering mentally and physically from what I experienced.”

He added: “Jakana is dead! Who is the next on Museveni’s black list? It can be me, it can be you and it can be everyone out there. None of us is safe! Dying for the truth is far better than being coerced into silence.”

It should be remembered that Kassaga was arrested and detained for reportedly fabricating Twitter posts to make it look like some top officials in government and security circles were happy that Gen Elly Tumwine, the former security minister, had died. (Read Details Here).

Meanwhile, Kassaga recently narrated shocking details of how he was reportedly treated during his detention at the Mbuya-based CMI cell, including allegations that he was denied food for three days, told to betray Bobi Wine or die poor and reportedly being beaten like a chicken thief.
