I DON’T NEED YOUR USELESS JOB: Ssemujju Roars at Nandala for Firing Him as FDC Chief Whip

There is Nothing in being FDC Chief Whip in Parliament – Ssemujju

Kira Muunicipality Ibrahim Ssemuju Nganda has fired back at Party Secretary General Nathan Nandala Mafabi and President Patrick Oboi Amuriat after they sacked him as Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) whip.

According to a letter written on August 07, 2023 and  addressed to the speaker of Parliament, FDC SG Nandala Mafabi announced that the party has appointed Yusuf Nsibambi the Mawokota South MP as the new party whip with immediate effect.’

‘In accordance with section 6 (I), the party hereby appoints Hon. Yusuf Nsibambi as the Party Whip of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) to replace Hon Ssemujju Ibrahim Nganda. In the same vein, we hereby withdraw Ssemujju Nganda as the party’s chief whip with immediate effect,” read Mafabi’s letter in part.

It should be noted that Ssemujju and some of FDC members who suspected Amuriat and Nandala as being moles and compromised in thier leadership, convened a National consultive meeting at Nsambya Sharing Hall. 

Ssemujju and his group accused Nandala Mafabi and Amuriat of getting billions of money to fight Bobi Wine and his NUP party and vowed to throw them out the FDC headquarters at Najjanankumbi. (See Details Here and There).

The Amuriat and Nandala faction was against it and denied all the allegations.

This  led to two factions in FDC one in  Najjanankumbi by Party president Patrick Amuriat and Secretary General, Nandala Mafabi; and the other based along Katonga Road, led by Dr Kizza Besigye.

This has turned into a serious issue that Dr.Kizza besigye addressed the media on 7th August, 2023 about the dirty money after the report that he says  it doesnot address the matter.

Now, vocal MP Ssemujju has vowed not to keep quiet and let the party die thus calling for people’s intervention to save the FDC.

According to him, this dismissal didn’t suprise him and  he expected it happen so that Nandala and Mafabi can take full charge of the party.

“In fact I was waiting for this. Amuriat and Nandala have no right to sack me like they are  purporting but also there is nothing in being the FDC chief whip in parliament,” said Ssemujju.

“If they want it so much, I will give it to them but they didn’t have to sack me like they are purporting. My major responsibility is representing the people of Kira Municipality. They are already uncomfortable.

It should be remembered that Besigye had since disowned Nandala Mafabi and Amuriat, revealing how they began speaking in tongues when he told them to explain the source of the dirty money. (See Details Here).
