Police has confirmed the arrest of Brian Mulizi, the prime suspect in the attack on Buganda Road Court chief magistrate Gladys Kamasanyu.
Detectives from the Directorate of Crime Intelligence trailed Mulizi until they arrested him from his hideout in Mbale.
Police spokesperson said detectives had used “advanced surveillance technology” to track Mulizi and arrest him.
But Enanga admitted that Muluzi had been “elusive,” and dodged detectives’ traps set for him since the attack on Kamasanyu last month.
Kamasanyu had reportedly gone to pick her child’s PLE results at Green Hill Academy.
Muluzi and others who were reportedly travelling on three motorcycles (bodabodas) are said to have taken Kamasanyu’s mobile phones and handbag.
The magistrate also sustained injuries during the attack.
After arresting Muluzi, Enanga continued, police listed Aloysius Ssewakiryanga, Marvin Bankunda, Vincent Dumba and Yusuf Tugume as his accomplices.
