HOLY, MIRACLE STICKS! City Prophet Arrested for Beating Demons Out of ‘Disobedient’ Church Members after Video Went Viral

A pastor who was filmed beating up church members in the city of Hoima has been arrested by officers of the Uganda Police Force (UPF) after a video showing this widely criticized action spread like wild fire. 

The prophet and pastor who has been arrested has been identified as Denis Kintu.

Kintu is said to be the lead pastor and prophet at Empowerment City Church (ECC), Kyesiga, in Hoima City.

It remains unclear why Prophet Kintu was beating up his church members, who included ushers, choir members and assistant pastors.

While some reports claimed that these had been negligent and did not do much to prevent the loss of the prophet’s alleged miracle stick, other reports suggested that Kintu was beating up his church members for being disobedient and not heeding the Word of God.

That in order to exorcise the spirit of disobedience from their hearts, the ‘man of God’ had deemed it fit to administer punishment using his ‘holy sticks.’

Now, hours after the video went viral on social media, reports coming indicate that Prophet Kintu has been arrested and that he reportedly spent the night behind bars over the action.

Albertine Region Police was expected to issue a comprehensive statement on the arrest of Prophet Kintu.
