Here’s what Gen Katumba Wamala told his followers before Bukoto shooting

Outgoing works and transport minister Gen Edward Katumba Wamala sent out a message of good wishes and caution to Ugandans minutes before he was shot along Kisota Road in Bukoto-Kisaasi area.

Unklwn assailants travelling on bodabodas had sprayed about 15 bullets into his car, killing his daughter Brenda Nantongo and driver Haruna Kayondo.

Gen Wamala is still being treated for shoulder and arm injuries at the Medipal International Hospital along Acacia Avenue.

The shooting happened June 01 morning as Wamala headed to Namasuba for his mother-in-law’s vigil.

He had wished his social media followers a good June and urged them to follow Covid19 prevention guidelines.

“I wish you a month of Happiness, Success, Peace, Prosperity, Good Health, and Wealth,” wrote Wamala.

“Remember to social distance, sanitize, and wash your hands regularly.”
