Stingy Men Association members in Kampala and across the country can not stop celebrating following an announcement by the Central Bank banning the use of currency notes for decorations and gifts.
In a November, 22 notice issued by the Central Banking Institution, florists, designers and events managers are warned against using the national currency for purposes specified above saying such affects the usability of the notes.
The development comes at a time when it had become a trend for people of dip pockets to gift their loved ones flower banquets knitted with money in varying denominations, attracting envy from their lean pursed counterparts.
