The list of students who have won government sponsorship at Kyambogo University has been released by the education institution’s office of the Academic Registrar.
The admitted students will pursue several courses and their fees will be paid by the Ugandan tax payers.
The successful candidates were drawn from thousands of students who sat their A-level examinations in 2018, 2019 and 2020 but were not lucky to scoop get the coveted government scholarships which are very highly competitive.
Students who sat Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) in the three years were given a chance to apply for government scholarships that were made available by the fact that there was a lot of A-level students which missed sitting exams at the time they were supposed to undergo their final assessment due to the Covid19 pandemic that disrupted the academic calendar.
The list of students admitted for government sponsorship under the national merit scheme at Kyambogo University was prepared and released by Dr Annie Begumisa, the institution’s Academic Registrar, after it was approved by the Admissions Board.
The list of these successful students is HERE.
Meanwhile, Makerere University has also released the list of students admitted under the Government Sponsorship National Merit Scheme for the 2022-2023 Academic Year that begins next month. (See Full List HERE).
